Last Couple of Weeks

We have spent the last 2 weeks (and still a couple more days to go) with the Santiago's here in the NW. It has been a tremendous time of touching bases with old and new friends of the ministry. It has been a great experience for Nancy and I to get a chance to put faces to many of the names on our mailing list and who have frequented the conversations of the Santiagos/Patchens etc for all these years.
The highlight was this weekend's missions conference at Trail Christian Fellowship in Eagle Point OR. It was amazing the various missions they help sponsor and pray for and give time to present. The missions ranged from missionaries heading to Asia, South America, the Middle East, Africa, Mexico and numerous supporting missions that provide training materials, translate the bible and other Christian material into known and new languages. It was truly humbling to meet and serve along side these giants of the faith. The church there has put the great commission into the forefront of their lives and we met many who said they had been praying and were looking for more information to pray even more fervently. What a humbling experience. We managed to hand out nearly every piece of material we brought to those who attended the 2 day conference. We can't wait for next year. We will be spending time in the next few weeks working with several of the other missionaries on coordinating our efforts to better serve the people of the Baja and help them to experience the life changing reality of a life with Christ.
We look forward to working with the many people we spent time with the past 2 weeks and will miss the Santiagos as they head back home on Wednesday.
