Last week we got an email from a woman who had been part of a mission trip a few years ago. She was very excited about her experience and wanted to see if there something more she could do. We invited her to come over and we'd have dinner and chat. We didn't know exactly what to expect but what a blessing it turned out to be.
She shared the joy of helping test people's blood pressure and blood sugar levels at the ministry site and teaching a girl to knit during the evening down time. She had recently finished a time as a hospice nurse then a time serving as a nurse to a scout camp and was now in town for a few days while preparing for a trip with her church to Haiti. When she returns she is going to serve another temporary nursing asignment and after that is looking for more ways to serve. What a blessing! We were truly humbled to see the level of commitment she is exhibiting as she puts real shoes on her faith.
